USA
Independent projects in the USA that work with youth orchestras:
YMPPA is a non-profit educational organization founded to offer underserved, minority and at-risk youth free access to advanced levels of performance of classical music, to share their talent locally and abroad and foster the expectation of creative excellence as a birthright and a pathway to social integration and personal success. It also provides a unique opportunity for young musicians to rehearse and perform under the baton of leading conductors and receive coaching from an exceptional faculty of distinguished musicians assembled from throughout the world.
OPUS 118 (Harlem, New York) provides quality music instruction and teacher development in an environment that nurtures excellence and creativity.
The Harmony Project (Los Angeles) is a non-profit organization established in April of 2001 with a vision of serving the cultural and artistic needs of underprivileged children in the Los Angeles area.

How can I get involved?
