Independent projects in Uganda that work with youth orchestras:
The Kampala Music School in Uganda cares for AIDS orphans and children from the poorest section of Kampala’s community and has recently begun taking in children escaping the Northern Conflict. The Tender Talents Magnet School, in collaboration with the Kampala Music School will provide music lessons, choral training and music workshops for between 50 and 70 children. The children will have the opportunity to learn piano, guitar and percussion instruments, as well as basic music theory. The choir will give six concerts a year.
