Child’s Play invites musicians and singers to participate in World Busk (8-14 June, 2009) to raise funds for Musequality and Child’s Play.
The busk will take place throughout one week – starting on Monday 8 June and finishing with a day for young musicians – and an attempt to set a world record – on Sunday 14 June. Musequality hopes to set a world record on 14th June with the largest simultaneous busk ever.
If you play an instrument or sing we’d like you to join in. You can busk for Child’s Play no matter where you are. If you choose to raise funds for Child’s Play, please let us know so we can give you more information about sending your collected donations to us.

The Child’s Play Foundation is looking for partner NGOs in India – in Goa or Mumbai.
What we are looking for:
- An established NGO or school that works with underprivileged children.
- The organisation should have a track record in providing children with a safe place to study, live or shelter.
- Schools – Municipal / other schools are encouraged to participate.
Our objectives:
- To give underprivileged Indian children a future through music.
- To introduce classical music as a viable medium of providing education, discipline, self-esteem and a sense of purpose.
First steps:
- If you are an interested NGO or school, please contact us for more information and to set up a preliminary meeting.
- If a partnership seems promising, an introductory workshop will be organised for the children who will get an opportunity to hear the music and experience playing on an instrument themselves.
- Following the introductory workshop, regular classes will be offered – either at the NGO/School premises or elsewhere, by mutual agreement.
